About The Artist
Aloha is something that can only be experienced, not explained. But, you’ll know it when you see it.
In many of Albert’s pieces you can see the Aloha he puts into his art. You can see the love and energy he puts into his work, by the careful details he uses in his figurative pieces and also in the vibrant colors of his abstract work. Many of his subjects are related to a time that was purely Hawaiian and powerful culturally.
Albert Weight has been drawing since childhood and has been publicly recognized during his youth for his art. He was inspired by his elder brothers’ and uncle’s art growing up, but he also learned from studying other artist works. At the age of eleven Albert was already drawing at a level beyond his years. Albert is primarily self-taught, but has taken some art classes in college and later attended The Art Students League of New York to study with some of the elite artist.
